Not universal March 18, 2014
Reviewer: DMan from Cottage Grove, WI United States
Don't get me wrong excellent design and quality...but no T-Marks and will not bolt directly onto a MEGA SBU upper.  You will need to machine off the anti-rotation tabs.

Again super quality and design....just not as universal as you might think.

15" on a true "Dissy" carbine - HEAVEN! February 14, 2014
Reviewer: JackinAlabama from Oxford, AL United States
I bought this sight-unseen, just the SHOT show photos, to put on a dissipator carbine build.  I cut down a 20" HB to 16, punched out the gas hole to .109", cut down the FSB and contoured it.  I'm running a Kaw Valley linear compensator.  The VRS runs out and the end of the rail stops just over the beginning of the comp, sloping forward to partially conceal the bottom of the comp.  Absolutely GORGEOUS presentation, and the fit & finish really compliments my carbine!  I'm VERY pleased with this product, and the single biggest complaint I have is having to wipe off the drool from the range-rats whenever I take it out in public!  OUTSTANDING product!  I WILL be buying others!

comfortable and sturdy June 7, 2013

Love this rail system so much I had to order a second one for one of my other rifles. If you actually hold a weapon with this rail system in your hands you will be ordering one for yourself that day, ask a few of my friends.

Excellent Design & Build Quality May 9, 2013
Reviewer: Michael Rowe from Kirkland, WA United States
The mounting system is simple and does not require any proprietary tools to install or remove and is easy to align. Once installed, the rails line up with the receiver perfectly giving it that monolithic feel.

Because of the triangular shape, the bottom offers a wide, flat surface which is easy to grip or rest on any surface without fear of it rolling. Even though I have small hands, it is easy and comfortable to hold especially with the notches that are cut along the bottom that provide good finger holds.

The unique angled shape gives this product a distinct look, but also poses 1 problem for anyone who is considering using suppressors and this is clearance.

The length measurements offered by Diamondhead are for the the top rail only, the bottom is an additional 1.5" longer. So is you install a 15" model on a 16" barrel, you may lack sufficient space for some suppressors.

Also care must be taken when selecting gas blocks for proper fit.
